If you want to commit suicide, this film is for you. If you want to have your sweetest revenge to your enemy, endorse them to watch this crap. and yes it is crap.

Let me share to you guys my basic assumption. If you LOVE “blairwitch project”, may be you’ll love cloverfield too. Many have classified this two movies under one genre, “don’t watch this” genre.

So for the fans of the movie “Blairwitch project”, you might want quit reading this blog right now.

Like Blairwitch project, Cloverfield caught a lot of movie watchers not because of the movie itself but because of the ADVERTISEMENT. the poster, it rocks. just look at that poster, next thing that you want to see to white house being blown (like independence day), is the statue of liberty. the title, it surely rocks. but the movie itself, it kills everything, it sucks and is full of poopoo big time. the whole movie presentation is in the “video cam recovered somewhere in the middle of deep mud or something else”. and like a video cam, the screen is not steady, the video cam stumbles, the screen rotates, fall of the building and such. (funny thing is their camera lens doesn’t break) Keeping your eyes on the movie we’ll make you DIZZY.

Like Blairwitch project again, it doesn’t have a ending. it gives you the problem but doesn’t have the solution. i can’t see this movie using open ending because the whole movie itself won’t give you the motivation to guess what we’ll happen next.

Basically, Blairwitch project = Cloverfield. If Blairwitch is the mystery/horror one, just make the story sci fi and that goes cloverfield. 

on the plus side, i think this movie is the first one to create a scene where the head of the statue of liberty is rolling in front of you on the streets! which so cool. and that is the only cool thing about this movie!

and as a movie creator myself, i appreciate the movie editing, where they where able to put “the video cam choreography” and the “monster effects”. which i believe is a hard one.

but when all put together, awesome effect, bad story, no ending, watching it make you dizzy, all in all..

it’s not for a good time, IT SUCKS.

a missed opportunity.
